With our automated shop equipment, the Cates Sheet Metal fabrication facility is the most state-of-the-art in the Midwest. Our CAD system can download directly to our high definition plasma tables, which have the capacity to cut ½” thick metal of almost any material with near machine quality cuts. 

This computerized equipment is enhanced by our new Betenbender shear and brake that can process ½” plate 12 feet long. Our custom roll forming machines can process ¼” plate up to 8 feet long. The shop is equipped with an overhead crane system to handle the material more easily and safely.

Cates’ industrial expertise includes power and process, automobile and motorcycle manufacturing plants, aircraft industry and industrial maintenance in fiberglass manufacturing plants.
