Cates Sheet Metal completed its first LEED project in 2009. The Olathe Medical Center Pavilion in Olathe, Kan., is the first LEED-certified healthcare facility in the Kansas City area. The anticipated gold-level certification reflects the energy emphasis utilized throughout the building’s components. As a participant in the project, Cates Sheet Metal was directly responsible for helping obtain two separate points toward the gold-level status.
